Ways to bid at auction
There are four ways you can bid at one of our live in-room auctions:
In the room:
Here you represent your bid in person directly to the auctioneer. You can either register to bid online or just turn up to do so on the night. Just make sure you bring two forms of ID and a way to pay for the deposit.
Online:
We livestream our auctions so you can keep track of the bidding in real time and place your bid to the auctioneer online. You need to register to bid online at least 24 hours before the start of the sale.
Telephone:
A member of our team will call you before your Lot is being offered and represent your bid for you in the room. You give instructions on when and how much you want to bid to the member of staff over the phone. You need to register to bid by telephone at least 24 hours before the start of the sale.
Proxy:
You can submit your best bid to the auctioneer and a member of the team will represent your bid in the auction. The member of staff will bid in time with the auction and not exceed your maximum bid. You need to register to bid by proxy at least 24 hours before the start of the sale.
