An apartment in Stoneleigh Abbey and four plots of land are among the lots at Sheldon Bosley Knight’s February auction sale.

A stunning two-bed apartment in the historic Grade I and II listed Stoneleigh Abbey is just one of the lots going under the hammer at a Cotswold auction this month.

Nine lots from across Warwickshire and Worcestershire will feature in the Sheldon Bosley Knight (SBK) sale which takes place at Chipping Norton Town Hall on Monday February 21.

It will be led by the Midland-based business’ head of auctions, Matt Burrows.
One of the most exciting lots is the two-bedroom duplex apartment which forms part of the impressive Stoneleigh Abbey. Set in 690 acres of parkland and overlooking the River Avon, the Abbey is one of the UK’s finest estates.

With picturesque views over the cricket pitch, a light, spacious and airy living room, fully fitted kitchen and ensuite to the master bedroom, this apartment has it all. And with a guide price of £425,000 this lot won’t hang around!

In the popular and pretty village of Upper Tysoe is a deceptively spacious five-bedroom Hornton stone cottage with a wealth of character and original features.

This beautiful property’s selling feature is its views of the countryside. It also has a good-sized living room with an Inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, a dining room with an open fireplace which leads round to the kitchen area. There is a utility, bathroom and conservatory on the ground floor and on the first floor are three bedrooms and a shower room. The second floor has two attic rooms and under eaves storage area.

Outside there is a good sized garden and parking for two cars. With a guide price of £425,000 this is a great property which is sure to be snapped up.

For those looking for an investment doer-upper, a four-bedroom Victorian terrace property in St George’s Road, Leamington is up for grabs.

With a guide price of £200,000 it is a property which requires updating and refurbishing. However, there are four bedrooms upstairs and downstairs is a good-sized living room, separate dining room and kitchen as well as a bathroom.

Outside is a courtyard garden with gated access from the front. It is close to Leamington Spa train station and town centre and is available with no onward chain.

One of the most popular lots is Midways, a four or five bedroom detached dormer bungalow in the popular village of Tiddington. It presents a great investment opportunity as it affords several possibilities.

It could be refurbished, or extended using permitted development rights, or redeveloped into two three-bed semis subject to the necessary planning permission.

As well as the properties there are four pieces of land which are being sold without planning permission attached. They would make an ideal purchase for anyone who wants to use the land for grazing or storage.

Matt said: “In this, SBK’s 180th year, I’m delighted to bring this second sale from our relaunched auction department to Chipping Norton Town Hall.

“We have nine lots on offer, all very different and each representing great value and investment potential.

“All of them have seen considerable interest but the Tiddington and Leamington properties in particular have proved very popular with those seeking an investment opportunity.

“The apartment at Stoneleigh Abbey is very special as it’s located in a beautiful setting and offers considerable scope for the right person to decorate to their own taste and make it a beautiful family home.

“The house at Leamington does need some work to it but with four bedrooms and outside space at the back, it will make the most amazing home or a great rental once it’s been completely refurbished.

“Our inaugural auction in November last year raised more than £1.7 million and I’m confident this one will be just as successful.

“Please call our auction team on 01789 867123 to register your interest.”
